New Lawn

November16

So we re-seeded our front yard for the winter.  We 25lbs of Pennington Annual Rye Grass from Home Depot.

It cost about $20 bucks.  Mow the grass on the lowest setting and bag it.  then run your sprinkler about 2 mins.  This will give the seed a wet bed when he lands.  Plus it helps see your tire tracks from the spreader.

Put the seed on thick, if you use a scotts spreader set it to like 13.  We watered ours for 4min every 2 hours until it grew.

Broke Down

September6

I wanted to post my last event, but actually forgot, dang-it.  The belt tensioner on my car broke and the belt was so loose that the power steering wouldn’t work.  The part was $82 which pissed me off, but it only had 2 bolts holding it in.  I stripped on so bad that I had to get a screw extractor and drill out the head.  But wouldn’t you know it, the extrator broke off in side.  So I put the air hammer on it for like half an hour.  Still no good.

The next day I hit it with the grinder and a carbon fiber cut off wheel.  FINALLY after 2 days I removed the one bolt.  Everything was a breeze after that.  I should have had pictures of me and the bolt.  It was messy.

Started keeping track

September3

We’ve already stripped all the wall paper off the walls and then the big job.  The popcorn off the ceiling.

I was standing in the middle of the room last nite, when i said”  lets keep a blog of our progress!! So I grabbed the phone and snapped some pictures.  I think I’m going to write a word press plugin to track home improvement job progress.
